Social How often do you go to a chinese buffet ?

There hasn't been a Chinese buffet near me in at least a decade.

Don’t have one in my town, it got disintegrated in the tornado last April.

It's been a long time.

Maybe early 2000's

This was mostly because of Vicinity.

There used to be one nearby back then, and it's nothing I seek out now.

I havent even eaten Chinese period, this whole year.

Rather go to an ayce KBBQ than a Chinese buffet

Cant stand all that sweet lemon/red sauce they use on everything.

If I get proper Chinese food I always opt for the dry-rub chicken/beef options

I can't remember the poster here who nailed American Chinese food tasting the same.
The place I went to the other day satisfied hunger but not really much difference between Teriyaki, Kung Pao and broccoli chicken.

Hence why I'll probably go again this time next year having forgotten what I've just typed.

but srsly, american chinese food is soo much better than actual Chinese food. spent extended time there years ago.
apart from Sichuan hot pot and the pressed duck in Beijing we had, most of it is bland as hell and their beer is barely cool.
would not recommend panda express however, go to a decent place ffs.

Thanks to the covid shenanigans of 2020 they shut down the only good chinese buffet we had.

not to mention, prob homosapien ingredients in the food with all that harvesting...

I want to say often.. but not as often as I’d like.

I’ve been to smaller ones with a few food item selections but I prefer the big ones like Mandarin. It is like Heaven man they got everything even bbq ribs

Man buffets around here are dying out in general. Nobody seems to like buffets anymore.
