How much weight Robert Whittaker cut?

From before he moved up? And what he walks around at now? He looks like a small 185er, I mean on TV Woodley looks bigger than him. He's become one of my favorite fighters to watch and just curious. I haven't really found anything online about it.

He used to wrestle at 97 kg, which is 213 lbs.

So probably somewhere along those lines when not in camp.

Whittaker's got that "thick" look about him. He's not as shredded as some fighters but he looks thick. He's got to be > 200lb.

Yep he wrestles in Australia at 213 and says he has a to drop couple pounds to make it so my guess is 215-220 normally.

He was suppose to wrestle in April but the UFC ask (told) him not too because they didn't want anything risking the fight in June after the Ferguson slip up.

So when he's got nothing in the works, and not in his camp he's around 215? But when he enters camp and before his weight cut he's down to about 200? So 15 pound cut or so? That's gotta be so beneficial. I watched the Cyborg cut video a while ago, and just watched the douche Till's cut. I just can't imagine that being good to do to your body and brain before a freaking 5 round fight. 3 round fights, maybe not as bad, but still, all that water being sucked out of your body and brain... If you're a fighter and think you're Billy Badass, why not move up and fight heavier for a lighter cut?

IMO cutting weight is just retarded on a scale of 40 pounds. There really needs to be a limit placed on these guys, because they have the mentality like Till's "I just don't care what happens"... You will care when you get put on a breathing machine and can't wipe yourself or even the drool coming out of your mouth from a massive stroke. They surround themselves with people who are looking to ride the gravy train. Holding the door on the sauna when Till was in it for a few extra seconds. Not throwing the towel in for Pennigton. I don't know, someone will die, then they'll make the change I guess.

have i been getting this wrong my whole life? does that mean more or less than 200 lb. ?

Think of the symbol as jaws that always eat the larger number. Because the jaws aren't facing 200, the 200 is smaller - so it's greater than 200. If it was < 200, the jaws facing 200, then it would be less than 200

hahahaha, that was funny. but I was like that for some time, never understood until I heard an explanation similar to the one above

As a rule of thumb, the side with the open end of the > is always higher and the pointed side lower.

Late Rockhold would come in the cage around 210. If Bobby Knukles comes at 200 (I guess that now he comes a bit heavier than that, but that's just my guess) he's still in the lighter side of average MW.

We live in mad times

So if your guess is right then Whitaker is a small MW, if your guess is wrong then he is an average size MW??

Is this atleast an educated guess??

I am aussie and i have seen him in person. he is huge for the weight class. he cuts from 210. he steps in at about 200 in cage. big tough sob. romero is just jacked but make no mistake about it, whittaker is a huge guy. you will be surprised how big and strong he is in real life. he is not 6 foot though. he looked a touch under. 5 foot 11 is appropriate. he has been listed as 5 foot 11. So that makes romero ? 5 foot 10
Yeah the "Whittaker is a small MW" myth is hilarious

He competes in the 217 pound division for wrestling. Tyson Pedro said that Robs even bigger than him - and Tysons a pretty big dude even for LHW's

by looking at him compared to his competition. Weidman, Rockhold, Romero and Jacare are all bigger than him. None of them could ever make 170.
I don't know man, if Rumble can make 170 I'm sure Jacare could give it a go.
