Okay, this seems like an easy enough question that I could just find myself, but every website differs in answers so much. for example, on Fatsecrets.com it says a pound of raw boneless skinless chicken breast there is 472 calories but on websites like CalorieKing.com it says 500 and other websites go as high 580 for a pound of raw BSCB. This seems like a silly question but do you know the answer?

1. Depends on type of chicken and their feed (makes a slight difference)
2. Fat composition.
3. Depends on how much of the thermic effect of feeding they are accounting for. Not all protein is 4 calories, some are 3.8-4.7 range. The 4 # is due to the average thermic effect of most proteins.
4. They suck?

Whatever calorie calculator you use, stick to it. Even if its incorrect, it will always be the same margin. Makes no difference if you maintain on 2300 according to "A" or 2600 according to "B" so long as it is always your reference point. Unless you encoutner a site so horribly innacurate.
