Khabib didn't shake her hand during the very brief window of time when both corners and a bunch of other people were in the cage after the fight. Instead of not thinking twice about it and just focusing her attention on the fighter she had just cornered, she can't stop thinking about it and assumes that Khabib doesn't like her and she must have done something to make him not like her.

Are any guys on here muslim, do Muslims just pretend women outside of the family don't exist? Like, if you see your friend, would you just pretend his wife is not there? How does it work in day to day life, just seems like either its crazy, or there must be a lot of exceptions. Khabib seems normal with female reporters, like Olivi, why not just nod towards her or smile at her without touching, are they not supposed to do even such little things with other women?

" “For one of you to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle is better for him than that he should touch a woman who is not permissible for him.”

Thus this is basically a scholarly issue rather than a direct godly commandment.

Depends on who you ask....not every scholar will agree on the meaning or interpretation from books like Bukhari or Muslim.

Even some notable Islamic claiphs shook women's hands....for example, Umar ibn al-Khattab shaking hands with women when they refused to do so when they came to pledge their allegiance to him.

Even in Haddith (Al Adab) shows women touching: Sahih al-Bukhari 6072 Book 78, Hadith 102

Anas bin Malik said, "Any of the female slaves of Medina could take hold of the hand of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and take him wherever she wished."

Conservative muslims would not shake women's hands, some others will but they will stop during ramadan. It happens a lot and I know that from personal experience.

Most Muslims in my country don't even fast during Ramadan. They just don't eat pork and they wear a special white cap, and they get some free points on national exams automatically, or I wouldn't even know they are Muslims.
