How many times a week do you train Muay Thai?

I got atleast twice a week. But I have a question to people who train in muay thai, would it be too much to train twice a day? or should once a day be fine?

I train 2 times a week, 3 times if i get the saturday off work(hour 15 min classes) i wish i could train more but the gyms here are pretty limited. All the power to you if you can train more than that, but be careful not to burn yourself out.

If you are going to be sandbaging your second class of the day then there is no point in doing it, go 110% or don't go at all is what i am always told:D

I train MT 5 days a week, but I had to ease myself into it..started with twice a week and then just progressed. Our classes are only an hour long so that helps, 10 min warm-up, 25 min technique, 15 min sparring, then 10 minutes conditioning body

2 to 3 days a week, 2 hour sessions. With 3 days a week of arnis on top of that.

3/week for now. Twice a day is not toom much. Look up training for professional MT fighters (or for the Thai kids that live where they train), they train twice/day. However, this doesn't necessarily mean you have to do it unless you are serious about competing.

I don't think you can go wrong training as much as possible. It can take a life time to learn everything and get the skills fine tuned. Right now I train 3 hours a day. Next month, I will be stepping it up because I will be fighting in 6 months. I will then be training for about 5 -6 hours a day. I really think it is just personal preference and what you want out of training.

2 days a week but have been out because of an injury (not in MT, lifting).

I am planning on returning maybe next week. they have a lot more classes now, so I will go back to 2 for a few weeks, then move up to 3 and then 4/week

I do MT 3x a week for 1 hour. Some days I also to the fitness boxing or Kickboxing classes for cardio.
Monday - MT 1 hr. + fitness 1hr
Tuesday - fitness plus running
Wednesday - MT 1 hr plus running
Thursday - MT 1 hour + fitness 1 hr
Friday - be fat and lazy OR 1 hr MT if I get motivated
SAT/SUN - Either riding Motorcycles or being fat & lazy

If I am going to miss days they are usually Tues and Friday. Sometimes I will cut out the extra fitness class or the running if I am feeling beat.

Generally 2 to 3. Alternating with no-gi and MMA.

He's just really really intense...

I've done some smoker style stuff, but every time I've committed to a fight either I've gotten injured in training, the opponent dropped out, or the event got canceled.

I'm also kind of a hermit outside of work and training, so it's my only real social life. :/

3 times a week is fine if you're not competing (like me anymore). More than that and you will start progressing much more quickly and adapting your body to a harder training regime.

That's nothing to be ashamed of. Thanks for the reply
