Carl Winslow is the only I know, all beacuse he made a thread about having cancer and dying soon. It was sad to read but not really because he seemed like he found his peace and was just waiting.

Had a coworker die in a motorcycle crash several years ago. RIP Hunter.

I believe the Matt is Sherwood's nephew joke originated from an interaction between the 2.

There was forum raid where dudes were posting scat or something to that effect all around the OT. Matt was trying to clean it up and eventually posted "Uncle" a reference to him crying uncle and giving up on trying to clean that shit up.

Sherwoood quoted him and said something like "Don't worry Matt you're doing a good job.

After that Matt was forever known as Sherwood's nephew and the only mod that was paid on Sherdog.

I dont know about Sherdog, but I am sure plenty of people from my high school, and college think I may have died.

I have severed contact with most people I use to know, and I think things like Facebook are stupid because it makes it harder to start over fresh.

My HS has a Facebook page especially dedicated to former students who've died.

People pretty much post the class year and announce the death, often with links and stuff. Kinda morbid but pretty interesting at the same time. And people commenting and putting up links makes for some good gossip.

Recently I found out a pretty good friend whom I had lost contact with died in a murder-suicide.

@bearVSshark died recently.

He made a thread about a month ago about how he'd just got a script approved to be made in to a pilot tv show. I messaged him saying I'd be interested in being involved if he needed anyone, so we exchanged details and became friends of Facebook.

Then, a couple of weeks later, in my Facebook feed, I just saw a list of people posting RIP etc to his page. Have no idea how it happened... Although the tone of the posts on FB made me think it was suicide.

Pretty crazy. Still have no idea if he actually was going to make a pilot or if it was all bs.

I had no idea about BearVSShark, I had a few good chats with him, he was a good dude.

RIP to all of the posters that have passed away.

The funny thing is, if I died tomorrow, no one on Sherdog would know, because I don't really talk to anyone on here. I'm sure that's the same for a lot of 'known' posters here.
