How many old accounts get banned on here?

My dad fought in the UFC at one point. Im not gunna go into that or who he is cause back then I made a thread about it and got banned because the mods thought I was lying. Literally a 2006 account. And I wasnt even a troll or shitstarter back then. You literally used to get banned for fucking everything.
 
Fuck yeah, I got double yellows for just insinuating that JDS's wife was ugly... I got dubs for quoting a post that had a gif in it, not realising that it was from a site that was banned...

Thankfully it doesn't seem to be as ridiculous as it used to be.

Wasn't he was trying to make this website the premier UFC media site? So he didn't want anyone shitting on the fighters therefore shitting on the brand? Idk why though since Dana shit talked this place back then all the time in the media. It's like kissing the bully's ass expecting him to be your friend.

Depends on the metric. Like others have noted itt, you could get carded or instabanned for the tiniest infraction back in the day. You could mess about a bit, but the actual rules were enforced to Judge Dredd levels.

Today it's the other way around. The rules are much looser and less enforced, but mods suck more than ever and kinda play their role by ear.

Substance Abuse just removed all my posts in the Sinners thread, for example. And I don't even really know what his issue is. First he accused me of using a dog-whistle for black people, which I didn't. Then he started talking about keeping the thread clean of political derailment, which is weird when the theme of the movie is literally racism, then he just went ahead and removed every post. That shit would not fly back in the day. Mods could easily get demodded too. Mods have clearly gotten more shitlibby the last six or seven years.

The mods kinda seem to do whatever they want these days. Clear sign of a site in terminal decline. No one gives a shit anymore, not even the mods.

Eh. Wrong. We tried to clean up the Berry as the War Room was seeping into it for years, derailing any normal conversation. It subsided. Then after a period of time, it began again - a good example being the Sinners thread, where everyone was complaining about it being woke before it even released. Now that it's out and people were trying to discuss it, the thread kept being derailed with more woke, bait and borderline racist posts. Those posts were called out. They continued. They were then removed. Hence, your disingenuous complaints.

So... Maybe moderation cared too much. I'm going go drink some beer.

Fighter bashing was the one that they seemed to really hammer people unfairly for back in the day. That same goober deleted my post in a thread which was clearly a joke. I'm guessing it was because he was already butthurt from all the OTHER posters who he had been arguing with and I sent him over the edge I guess lol. He went through and deleted all his posts, my one post, and a few others from the other people who he had been arguing with. I got a message saying I was being given a warning but the reasoning didn't line up with the post at all. It just teenage level emotional behavior, not rule enforcement. Feels like Reddit here sometimes.
