How many of you know that Fedor was having problems with his hands since the Goodridge fight?

And that he beat CC with completely f*cked up hands?

Those of you who grapple, know how much you need your hands to be healthy:)

No wonder he became a head hunter and abandoned grappling and gnp after f*cking his hands up too many times.

I wonder who else needed to change their fighting style to compensate for a certain injury.

I'm thinking Minotauro, who counted more on his boxing because his hips were f*cked in the latter part of his career.

Any other examples?

hmmmm

The man in my Avatar had to switch his game up completely after numerous knee surgeries, also add in the fact the "rules" changed when transitioning over from PrideFC to the UFC.

He went from an acrobatic high flying kicking machine to a plodding forward boxer with no footwork.

People in the worldwide section might know more about him.

Wow, so Fedor was the only fighter to ever have health problems? Amazing news TS.

Minotauros eye was fucked up too, should have retired much sooner than he did. Fedor beat him blind in one eye.

I hope Joanna quits breaking her hand. Isn't it 2 of her last 3 fights ? I'm not sure there is much she can do about it, while still being as effective. She fights how she fights. Her hand strikes are what set her apart in that division so far.

Punching people in the face is worse on your hands than grappling.

Fedor was a boss during the Pride days, though

Yeah. CC, Shogun and Wandy were raped by the Unified rules.

Hey, according to Sherdog we learned after the Diaz fight that McG had been fighting without a heart throughout his entire UFC run. That's pretty damned impressive. Way to compensate for your weaknesses, Irishman!

Hmmm, when did Minotauro go blind/near blind?

But yeah. The f*cker fought with one good eye for years:)

Which makes my btthurt about the Fedor vs BF stoppage even worse:)

Yeah, but when your hand is f*cked you can still throw it. while grabbing things becomes damn near impossible.

You know exactly when that happened. He is essentially blind in one eye from the gnp he took from Fedor. You know this.

Did I say that?

Did Fedor f*ck your gf or something? Did I?

Its the fight game. You don't think any other fighter has ever had problems? Floyd Mayweather had problems with both his hands (his only option mind you) his entire career yet that didn't stop him from being at the top the entire time.

You're making weak ass excuses for why Fedor fell off. It reeks of desperate fan boy-ism. He got old, and competition passed him by. Shit happens. But if jerking off to old Fedor fights while making excuses for a guy you've never met, by all means, have fun.

All you have to do is watch the way Fedor throws to know he was going to have issues with his hands. Amazing to watch, but not good for the small bones in your hands.
