How many of you are aboard the "Bryce will be champ sooner or later" wagon?

Big fan, not sure if he can beat the best FW’s but I’ll sure be rooting for him

He really doesn't have much of a wrestling background at all. Wrestling is pretty new in Arkansas high schools and participation #'s are very, very low (less than 200 kids total, in a state of 3 million people). He didn't exactly dominate either. Better wrestlers come out of much smaller states like Nebraska and the Dakotas than from Arkansas.

I'm a huge fan and think he has what it takes.... Just saying.

Get in here, let's discuss.
I don't blame any of you that are , not one bit. Dude looks sensational right now.
However, I must admit, I don't think I'm aboard just yet. I've gotta see another fight or two first.

The second fight from now will probably be the one for me which will allow me to be able to gauge his championship contention.

He looked like Khabib with camo shorts on tonight... spectacular performance. And his striking looks capable and very complimentary of his wrasslin' already.

For me, the one thing I'm unsure about is if he has the size and strength to maul some of the bigger and stronger elite FWs. His technique and skill is there but physical attributes are a thing and can make a big difference. To me he looks a bit small for a FW tbh and I'm having a tough time seeing him take down and dominate a proven TD stuffing , long, experienced guy like Max or a solid and strong wrestler like Volk. Ortega would maybe give him some problems as well. I just can't see it right now.

Maybe I end up completely wrong but that's where I am right now ..

Am I completely insane?
Do you agree ?
Thoughts experts????

He still has a lot to prove, but is a nice guy, fun to talk to, and is a very talented fighter. Showed he can bang with high level strikers and obviously his ground game is elite. A lot of the division above him would struggle with his grappling, especially with how solid his striking is. Giga, Ige, Kattar, Yair, these guys all get smashed.

Seems a genuine bloke and he can certainly fight but it will either be later or not at all, he's not controlling either Volk or Max on the ground and both would light him up like a Christmas tree standing. Couple of years though who knows but it's likely there'll be some new elite fighters coming into their prime he'll have contend with like Topuria and Evloev.

I knew barboza was never a great fighter to begin with. He was a solid exciting fighter to watch for a rather small period time( as far as him being revered ).Descending in weight just expedites the process in regression( in his case). This is why I also knew Kattar was such a live underdog in his last.We can now play MBQ and the brakes shouldve been pumped on the Giga train.

Hooker is next .

As far as Bryce goes , we'll see . Its 2022 and UFC appears rich in talent in their lighter divisions but lack it from 170 & up.

Bryce v Giga would be a telling fight - winner v loser but think it would be a great fight to make.

How did you watch that fight and think, "wow what a badass". He laid on Barbosa because Barbosa has shit ground skills and TDD. He's not getting anywhere close to a title against if he can't work on his stand up skills. He's gonna meet someone who will stuff every shot and beat his ass, just like these guys always do.

Hes not controlling Ortega or Kattar for that matter also.

Btw, good morning.....

and,

Mousasi > Whitaker

IDK if championship material. Lets see how he does against someone who can avoid the takedowns.

One thing is for sure.. I will be rooting for the kid. He is amazing in many levels.

I wouldn't write off his chances against Kattar or Ortega, a match up with the latter would certainly be an interesting scrap and Mitchell would certainly be a live dog.

As to your other oft repeated statement you're going to have to let it go bud, Whittaker's fighting elite competition whilst Mousasi's taking pay cheques to beat bums/WW's masquerading as MWs. Tell you what though when Mousasi beats an elite MW by all means tag me, I think there is at least one thing we can agree on Mr PVZ certainly doesn't fit that bill.

That fight showed more that Barboza hasn't learned anything from fighting all those wrestlers than anything else. His tdd really lacks.

Would be the most boring championship reign in history….really hoping featherweight isn’t that awful …although it’s bad

I like Bryce but last night showed me more that Barboza is slowing down and less that Mitchell is champ material. He’s good, but the top of FW is stacked.

Being that I believed Brandon Vera would be a double champ, I’ll keep my opinion to myself..

Typical case of “he won his last fight” hype.

Good fighter but I don't see him beating someone like Max, Volk, Kattar or Yair
