How many of Trump's campaign promises are left to do?

I see the logic, but wonder about that. I think the GOP is kind of happy that the repeal failed, and I'm not sure that another president would have gotten better results. The essential problem is that the party was criticizing the ACA from the left (that it didn't do *enough* to expand coverage and increase affordability) in their messaging while actually opposing it from the right (raised taxes on high earners to pay for benefits for the poor and middle class, imposed regulations, etc.). They were forced to either fuck over voters or do something that they didn't agree with and fuck over donors. I think a smart Republican president might have been able to thread the needle by making a few superficial changes and rebranding it (as Trump did with NAFTA), but it wasn't going to be easy. That's why the GOP was acting like the ACA was an existential threat in the first place--they knew it would be popular and pretty much unrepealable once enacted.
How do you think about the fact that was very narrowly defeated? I suppose that it's possible (even likely) that knowing McCain would be a no that it made their yes politically convenient and more symbolic then a real attempt to repeal the ACA.

I'm sure many of these guys were actually happy to see it fail because they know in their hearts that the opposed the ACA for political reasons. But after campaigning on repeal I think they trapped themselves.

Integrity?

Let’s start with you admitting that Obamacare was a failure.
Why don't we actually start with you addressing things I've said instead of making shit up?

If I wanted to, I can still buy Obamacare.

LOL!

But you won’t buy it because the coverage sucks, it’s overpriced, and the deductible is insane.

But that’s exactly what obama promised, right?

No, my company provides top notch fully paid for insurance for my family. But I would if I needed to.

You suck.

Because my statements are facts.

Obamacare never accomplished it’s goals.
Obamacare delivered overpriced, shitty healthcare plans.
Obama didn’t have the guts to push through single payer.

But I would if I needed to.

If you did, you would be like every other person posting about how it’s shitty, overpriced healthcare.

Because you waste time when you don't even read what someone wrote and actually attempt to address that.

Getting the individual mandate removed is a huge win and at least counts as a partial victory.

I know your butthurt won’t allow you to recognize that, but nobody cares. The fact is that it got done.

Was Trump promising a partial victory? I seem to recall he not only didn't do that but said that total victory would be extremely easy and quick. As far as I can read the topic of the thread is about which campaign promises that are done, not whether Trump has done anything good.

Given that I'd say that the main display of being butthurt is done by you, over that the things Trump has not yet achieved are being pointed out, making you jump in to defend him in ways that isn't in line with the topic. Someone with some integrity would demand that the people he vote for live up to what they promise, rather than defend them for trying even though they've failed.

A blatant lie, I’ve had dubs maybe 6 times. Usually two at a time after mods get butthurt when I absolutely destroy them with facts about “Muh russia”. A reminder, you’ll be laughed at for a decade over it.

But you know, dishonest liberals who exist in their fantasy world is the norm.

Yeah, the fact that it came so close to happening is what makes you think that a more-competent president could have made it happen. But it's also possible that it was doomed from the start to a very narrow failure (that, for example, there was a discussion about what Senators could afford to take the bullet on behalf of all of them). Like I said, though, I think a hypothetical smart, capable Republican president gets a symbolic "repeal" through that keeps the reforms in place.

Oh yeah I’m really butthurt, considering the guy I voted for won, and he just can’t stop winning.

<GinJuice>

But please, tell us again something Sweden has accomplished besides letting your women get raped...

Your statements are utter garbage.

Also, educating you isn’t my concern, I’m just here to deliver reality checks. You liberals are beyond the point where conversing with you is of any worth.

You still pretend the ACA isn’t shitty overpriced insurance. The fact you defend it is proof you’re beyond reason.

Proof that you have ever destroyed anyone on sherdog ever, let alone six times. You are a cunt that derails threads and are a borderline troll on the best of days. You ignore facts and only stick to the party script. I do admire the way you cheerlead for Trump so blindly, that takes a special kind of stupid. You claiming the ACA as a win for Trump is dumb as hell. We didn't get a repeal and replace that the GOP went on about for 6 years before Trump. Promise not complete.

I had HC coverage through the ACA until I decided to go back to school. It was comperable the HC offered through my work without the tying me to stat at that job. I switched to the my universities plan because it's a bit cheaper.

You're just going to keep making things up though while ignoring Trump's campaign promises to repeal the ACA, which he has failed to do, and replace it with something so much better for everyone, which he has failed to do and the replacement he did support was worse by every metric.

If the ACA is so bad why can't Trump or the GOP come up with anything better?

All I am asking is for you to address things that are said. I am not interested in hearing your very stupid, ill-informed lectures on topics you clearly don't know shit about it.

I'm more than happy to take on people who disagree with me, that's the whole reason I post here. But I won't tolerate assholes who won't even take 10 seconds to actually read and address what I write. You can't take your partisan bullshit elsewhere.

No butthurt in that post, nope...

Btw, who claimed ACA was a win for Trump? That’s your fantasy world again.

Repealing the individual mandate was important. Fact.

If you made a point worth addressing, I would have.

You haven’t.

Meanwhile, I’ve pointed out multiple trump accomplishments, but liberals seem to downplay them all. How odd...

Trump is impotent when it comes to anything legislative.

He doesn't have his own plan for things like HC. He doesn't understand the subjects well enough to offer leadership on crafting legislation, and he can't work with even his own party in pushing through legislation.

Trump had zero part crafting that abomination of a bill they tried to pass. But that's because he had no plan of his own and couldn't contribute anything to the subject. But he was more then willing to rubber stamp whatever they were going to pass just to get a "win". Even a "win" that would he completely opposed to his own campaign promises.

Similar applies on the tax cuts although I'm sure he's more in line with that given its benefit to him. But he would have signed near anything on the subject the GOP put on his desk.
