Last year the UFC had there biggest year ever. Driven by starts like Mcgregor, Rousey, and Jones, they had some of there biggest PPV's to date, and were able to hit high numbers consistently.
2016 looks to be the same if not better. Quick predictions of the upcoming cards in 2016 that I think will do well. (At the moment it looks like they could possibly squeeze UFC 206 into Decemer, but so far , up to 205 has been announced for 2016)
UFC 196----1.5 Million Buys
UFC 200----1.5 Million Buys
(Safe to say this will be a huge card, and likely match the number set by 196)
UFC 202----1.6 Million Buys
( I could go easily guess higher based on rematch attraction, but these numbers are so big I get wary predictions anything larger)
UFC 203----600-800k Buys
(At first glance this card is not amazing. HVWT Title and HVWT contender matchup. But CM Punk makes his debut and I assume he will add a huge swell)
UFC 205---- 750k-1 Million Buys
( Madison Square Garden. New York debut. It's gunna be crazy.)
UFC 201 is Lawler/Woodley, probably do 200-300k, however a rumored UFC 204 card in Manchester with Bisping/Hendo 2 could also do very well. With the right undercard I see that being able to reach 600/700k.
So will 2016 be the year of million dollar PPV's? With 196, 200, and 202 we have at least 3 cards over 1 MIL.
