I am a fan and think he is great for the sport, even though I do find his antics unbearable sometimes.

Right, because 18 Conor threads a day, 7 days a week doesn't convince you that there is enough Conor support. Why not make another Conor thread to go with this one, I hear they are like Lay's, nobody can make just one.

I genuinely struggle to see why people hate him so much.

1) He is a very, very exciting fighter to watch, with a super aggressive style and a +90% KO rate.
2) He makes for great press conferences.
3) He doesn't pull out of fights.
4) He accepts short notice fights, putting title shots on the line.
5) Other fighters are getting paid more because of him.

If the guy talked shit and then backed down from fights, I'd get it. But he doesn't.

Never been a fan, not a hater either. Kind of neutral towards him. The way the UFC is bending over backwards to cater to his whims is kind of disgusting, but that's not his fault. He's doing what any fighter would do.

It's going to be our first superfight since BJ Penn and GSP.

When you're as big of a draw as Conor is, of course there's gonna be some haters, but I don't think he's ever going to get that Ronda heat. He will always be a hero in his home country and there's a lot of fans that really love the shit talking.
I guess we'll see what the backlash is once he actually loses.

Since he entered the UFC and I saw him fight I loved his style and became an instant fan. Also he was quite funny to boot.

Though sometimes he can be over the top obnoxious I know why he does it so I can appreciate it rather than being offended and hating.

I am not a 'nut hugger'...I am a rational fan...a BIG fan who believes that he would KO Fedor in the furst...but a rational fan.
