Imagine being Chandler watching that back

    He was so fucking close

Would've been smart to let Oliveira back up, Chandler showed a couple of poor fight IQ moments in the fight

In no way was a stoppage warranted at that point.

that would have been a horrible stop!

Can you picture if Herb Dean was the ref? I think it would've looked something like this.

I was gonna say Herb Dean most likely would've stopped it...

No one would if complained if it was stopped

But ultimately he made the right decision to let Charles continue

He looked composed and cognizant through that whole sequence. Only took a handful of shots.

None would have been right to stop it! Even on all fours and face down Charles kept intelligently defending by keeping his head moving until he was able to flop to his back. He received a minimal amount of damage while on the ground.

In contrast, Chandler's defense when hurt was to run away.

I honestly don’t think many, if any, would’ve stopped it. But we do get bad stoppages from time to time.

Oli was moving well despite being in danger and eating a few unanswered. Glad eyes were wide and aware!
