How many current Champs do you consider Legit.

Currently its a strange situation as so many different situations have muddied the waters at different weight classes.

How many current champs do you consider Legit, and how many have question marks next to their names.

I am not saying anyone is wrong or right, just honestly interested in different opinions.

Max Holloway, Got beat by Conor but it was a while ago and I don;t think pettis deserved the interim title shot against him, not after losing 3 straight at lightweight and getting a shot after 1 win at FW. Does help that he has since beat probably one of the best FW's of all time twice to defend the title and Conor is gone from the division for good, but people will always wonder what would happen in a rematch.

khabib is an amazing fighter and deserved a shot, but beating a guy not even in the top 10 puts a huge question mark nest to his name IMO. Conor vs Khabib needs to happen.

I can't stand Woodley but INO he gas been treat pretty shit. Fair enough its beem ten months since he fought, but before that he won the belt and defended 3 times in a year. A bit to soon to need an interim belt and I don't think Covington deserves it.

Bisping legit won the belt, and then GSP legit won the belt. No other real choice but to promote whittaker to champ considering Romero, and jacare were the other top contenders and Whittaker beat Jacare and Romero, and Romero took out Rockhold so that one makes sense IMO.

Cormier beats everyone but Jones. He is a great champ but there will always be an asterisk next to his name because of the 2 defeats by Jones. He only has the belt because jones is not around. Not really his fault but it is what it is.

Has there ever ben a time when there were so many asterisks next to the names of so many champs at once.

All of them except for Colby, Khabib, and Montano.
 
Our opinion has no bearing. Eventually ppl forget and the only thing that counts is who officially is the champ.

If you cant meet your obligations as champ, then you are no longer champ. Its pretty straight forward. Otherwise fighters could win a title, then decide to go m.i.a for a decade and milk it for all its worth. The line has to be drawn somewhere imho
 
khabibs belt is fake he basically got it handed to him.

Fair enough. I'm not a Conor fan, but that's how I see it. I hold his claim to both 145 and 155 in higher regard then GSP at 185.

Bisping was a fill in vs Rockhold and legit won the belt. After that it was a farce with Henderson and GSP. That belt hasn’t touched a legit contender and obviously the legit “interim” belt was the real belt all along.
 
Belts are mostly irrelevant because title shots are not meritocratic

What matters are long winning streaks against the best of the division

what u didn't want to say a problem with womans champs cause there not worthly of leaving the kitchen

what nothing wrong with mm fighting cans or tj not earning the title 2.
