How many celebrities do you think there are living in the USA? Ballpark figure.

We have to establish a threshold for "celebrity status" - would every person playing in the MLB count? NFL, NHL, NBA?

I think my threshold is: if you got into a scandal of some kind, would it make the news? Any pro athlete in a sex scandal would make the national news IMO.

We're talking TV "stars", news media people, internet celebrities, pro athletes, celebrity chefs and all that other bullshit, reality TV stars, pro-wrestlers, race car drivers, infamous people like murderers, famous politicians, big-time criminals, etc.

If someone were to compile a list, I wonder how long it would be? 10k people, maybe? Maybe 20k?
