How many ageing UFC stars are worried now that a post UFC career at Bellator isn't a given?

With Coker saying "We have kind of gotten away from signing the OGs we used to sign back in the day", how many UFC stars that would've been thinking that they always had Bellator to fall back on are now a bit more concerned about their post UFC career?

Got to think Jacare with a loss this weekend could be on his way out. He's 41 and that'd make it 4 losses out of his last 5, with his last win being against Weidman 2 years ago.

I'm thinking Shogun might end up on the chopping block soon :(

sounds like these “not interested” statements are negotiation tactics

PFL could well be an option for some fighters too.

There is probably a lot of them that are on or could be on the chopping block if Dana was not lying at the post fight presser. I could see a bunch of guys/gals getting purged...Shogun, Arlovski, OSP, Overeem, JDS, Rothwell, Oleynik, Maia, Woodley, Cerrone, Lawler, Edgar, Mendes, Stephens...

I am not saying they are all going to get cut, but I could see a few of these names getting cut and wouldn't be all that surprised with the money some of them make and new talent arriving.

If they were smart they used the money they made wisely. If not they can cry about it or get a real job.

Maybe Bellator is finally learning that building a promotion on castoffs from a bigger promotion is building a house of cards on a foundation of sand.

Beniefts of not being in the ufc is every other organization isn't promising enough where you really need to bend over and take whatever they're offering.. so whoever bids the most gets the star. That's the way the world works, sorry for the businessmen out there tryna rip off the talent.

Bellator will always take scraps from the UFC. Whether it’s to pad their roster, build their own stars up on the backs of the old guard, or to generate some buzz and get some new eyes on their product. Coker is just tired of paying top dollar, I imagine.

Yeah Dana gotta get rid of those bigger contracts for those no named fighters who he can pay peanuts.

Bellator will take these guys but only at their price. Some of these vets have priced themselves out of the market.
