How Joanna Jedrzejczyk saved the ufc sw division

People here pick and choose when they care about grammar and spelling. I lambast people for these things when the quality of their thoughts matches their mastery of English. Otherwise we might as well leave it be.

My opinion is that I somewhat agree. However, the division will probably stay overlooked in the public's eye until there is a marketable champion with multiple enjoyable title defenses which is what remains to be seen of course. Also, Joanna's name isn't doing her any favors which is mean to say but it is what it is.

she more marketable than carla is alot of people started to follow her right when she started with her antics in the face offs plus her fighting style compare to carla is more marketable and her name ppl will learn it or call her jj trust me by the time the fight started most knew her already

Yes she's def more likable than Carla

Seriously though, your lack of punctuation made it extremely difficult to read...especially the lack of name separations

why does everyone become grammar police on here hahahahh

I agree with TS that it was nice to see the change of the belt to someone a lot more exciting as both a fighter and self promoter. Carla was not doing herself any favors with her silly nickname and her fight style was mostly take downs and more take downs followed by some GNP. I also think that JJ got into Carla's head. What finally annoyed me the most was Carla's weak excuse/response at the post fight presser where she basically stated that she was glad to lose the title because she had too many mental issues/pressures this last year with TUF, title and stuff.

Can't disagree except to say that historically there have been a lot of fighters that should have gotten a lot more popular than they did. The best thing going for her at the moment is that there's only a couple female fighters of any note to the casual fan right now. She fits well in this under-saturated market.

I honestly agree.

JJ is an exciting striker, with good sprawl and brawl ability and she's an interesting personality.

Tbh, I'm a fan and I'll be watching everyone of her fights from now on. I missed the one last night(was more interested in Kovalev vs Pascal, but I caught it YouTube). It was a one sided beat down. Another dominant female champ.

She has my attention.

PS. I'm guessing your first language isn't English, but next time TS use some punctuation and the enter button. They're your friends.

wtf is a paper view?

wooow hold it right there, fighting like Pacquiao? I think she is more like a Diaz. The only comparison she shares with Pac is her English, which adds more flavor to her character.
Anyway, she's really entertaining to watch, she's so oldschool a great striker with good TDD.

shes been attracting alot of casual fans with her personality people like her plus with the way she fights its an easy sell

There's nothing to save, and everything to build.

Props to Carla for carrying the women's SW division all the way from the bottom to the UFC.

Joanna's got a big task ahead of her with that torch now in her hand.
