How is Mauro Ranallo doing as WWE announcer?

The few times he's been on commentary during New Day matches I've been extremely impressed with Xavier Woods and could see it being an easy transition for him after he retires one day.

He's definitely one of those guys with "office after the ring" written all over him: (very) smart, personable, savvy, confident without egomania, great speaking ability and charisma, and enough of a fan (enough enthusiasm) that it will shine through if he takes the headset. Great call there.

light years beyond JBL. "MIGALLLL! Just because you went to harvardddd LAW???!!! MIGALLLLLL *insert wrong superstar name *call all black superstars Kofi *make obscure reference to rugby players from the 1930s"

Xavier Woods would be a fantastic commentator. He'd be a great heel manager too. Dude has a great presence on the mic.

I wish they would future endeavor everyone on the announce team but Mauro and Graves.

When the Miz retires from the ring I think he has potential to be right up there with Bobby Heenan and Jesse Ventura as GOAT color commentators.

Now I don't watch very much of the current product at all, but I've been going back and watching some 1998-1999 Raw episodes over the last few weeks and remembered that Mauro recently got a job commentating for WWE. I'm curious as to what the general perception is of him in this arena, is he any good? He was a great MMA commentator before this, but I can see why some wrestling fans could think he's hacky, or just too over the top.

Like a boss.

He's doing great.
