Can someone try and explain this to me? I'm trying to come up with a reason not to bet on Lesnar, but can't think of a reason why. Only thing I can think of is that Hunt will catch him on the way in.

Mark Hunt is awesome hands and KO power for sure, and yeah, can even throw a kick every now and then, but how is Hunt (age 42) going to stop the takedown? Sure Hunt is a big boy, but he's no Lesnar. Lesnar is a beast, probably fresh off a cycle, ready to dominate.

Hunt has knock out power, who cares? Lesnar will smother him. If Stipe Miocic could ground and pound Hunt, you don't think Lesnar will?

Have no idea how Hunt is the favorite.

I'm going in on Lesnar for sure probably at least $300. +155? Sure I'll take that. Betting slip to follow in the next few days.

Hunt hits hard and has been active the past 5 years. Not that farfetched dude

Because Hunt has great takedown defense, a great chin, far superior cardio to Lesnar, hits far harder than Lesnar, and whenever Brock decides to shoot it'll be game over.

- Uppercut baby.

Hunt has great timing with opponents coming in

Because Lesnar hasn't fought since 2011, his last 2 fights showcased how deathly afraid he is of strikes, and Hunt has good TDD. When Lesnar doesn't like how the standup going (which is coincidentally what Mark Hunt is really good at), his takedowns attempts are sub-optimal. This was showcased against Carwin, Cain, Overeem, etc. Hunt also times people shooting in from shitty positions really well. He showed this trait against Rothwell and Mir.

Bet 300 dollars on Lesnar.

It goes one of two ways:

1. Brock bullrushes Hunto across the cage, doubles him, and smashes him quickly, thoroughly, and violently.

OR

2. Hunto clips him with something huge, either on the way in, or after sprawling like a mo-fo on the initial TD attempt. Mark lands clean, Lesnar, goes nite-nite, just like ANY other HW who takes one of those anvils to the face.

Pretty much this. It's not like Brock is young anymore. He's 38 years old. He also hasn't fought in about 5 years and left the UFC after two devastating losses and a life threatening illness.

Mark Hunt on the other hand, has been active that whole time, and while he's taken some losses, he's also KO'd some of the toughest guys in the division.

Easy, hunt has won 2 in a row by walk off KO, and Lesnar hasn't fought in 5 years. Not that hard to figure out man.

Far superior cardio? Don't know if I agree with that.

If Brock doesn't get the takedown early than hunt will finish within the first though, who lnows what brocks intentions are... Could be just for the payday and as soon as hunt touches him he will go down.

We all know hunt isn't going to rush in when Brock drops.

Walk away Ko is always his goal.

Bet 300 dollars on Lesnar. You won't do it pussy.

Mark Hunt will leave the octagon in a stretcher when Brock is done with him.

Wow..So Brock is the underdog in this fight? I love underdogs..Especially a FKing beast like Brock. :)

Hunt is the favorite because he's much better than Brock.

So being out 5 years is the reason? He's healthy now, and good to go (probably on the juice too). There is no rust for takin a dude down and smashing him.

Basically it comes down to whether or not Lesnar can take Hunt down, and considering Stipe "the firefighter" Miocic who is like 240 lbs could do it (repeatedly), pretty sure a 280lb Lesnar can do it.

Shit, I was actually wrong.

His last FOUR fights showcased how deathly afraid of strikes he is. Not two. Oops.

That little combo and flying knee Mir threw at him had Brock shook in their rematch

Stipe can set up his takedowns with his strikes though. He also doesn't LITERALLY spiral out of control when he gets hit.
