How is Anthony Smith listed at 6'4?

Americans use inaccurate inches and they still can't get it right. Sad!

but yeah agreed with another poster, most people don't realise how tall a legit 6'4 is,

Also Cerrone is one of those guys whose height is def inflated, he was around the same height as 5'11 Alex Olivera, slightly shorter than 6'0 Darren Till, slightly shorter than legit 6'0 Matt Brown, shorter than 6'0 - 6'0.5 Nate Diaz

from what I've heard is most heights in the UFC are self reported

Hardy bounces up and down at the weigh ins, but you can't tell that from a still photo right?
 
Yea he does look shorter. I noticed that too last night. So a few possible explanations. A) Jones is taller than listed b) smith is shorter than listed C) both a&b D) jones shoes maybe a half-in higher (but it didn't appear that way)

I think smith's build kind of makes him loo taller than he really is.

An Inch at most. Couldn't find a pic of fill body but it's in the weigh in video. Same stance and similar footwear.
Smith is about 6'3
 
Hendo Is 5'9 tops. Think about the monsters he has fought over the years.

I think Jones is like 6'4.5 while Smith is 6'3". Smith is definitely tall. I think Jones is just a little taller than most people realize.

He gets as tall as 6'6" out of competition. 6'4" seems about right
 
Ufc modus operandi. Tries to be a legit sport but makes so many amateur mistakes you can't take them seriously.
 
Seems the thread low key turned into a thread about how the UFC adds height to fighters.

So the real question is how all the people on Sherdog who use height to justify weight feel now?

The UFC insists on listing Jon Jones at 6'4 yet he is the same height as Gus who they say is 6'5 and Jon is taller than Smith who they list at 6'4, so if Jon is 6'4 he must be 6'4 and 5/4 or so.
 
There is one way to ascertain correct heights and that is the commissions actually measure
the fighters heights prefight without any shoes or socks on there feet standing straight up not
slouching.

Jones isn't 6'4.5 he is the same height as his 6'3 brother his is around 6'4 max

Smith is around 6'2 - 6'2.5
