True. Manny took him to a draw (Lots of folks thought Manny won) in his last fight.

Still massively interested, I love the sport and its history, and yeah sometimes it doesn't deliver and you can always look back at fights from the 70s, 80s, and 90s and say why isn't it like that today, but for me, when boxing gets it right, there is nothing quite like it, nothing in my opinion that can match the feeling of that big fight feel.

I've come to love MMA over the years and appreciate it massively, hence why Im on this forum, but no big time MMA fight for me has ever replicated the feeling I get in a big time boxing match, and thats not a critiscism just how I feel about it.

I am in a big draw down with boxing because the previous fighters I cheered for have all come to the end of their careers and the younger guys I have cheered for have been a massive disappointment.
At this point, maybe boxing and fights just become more of a social lubricant because I feel an instant connection in person if someone starts talking boxing.
It seems unlikely that I will emotionally attach myself to a new fighter though the way I have in the past. I had emotionally attached to both Spence and Crawford early/mid career. It is impossible for two fighters to replicate again the range of emotions those two fighters created for me. I would expect that was my life peak of being a boxing fan.

More than I've ever been. It feels so much more accessible to follow by catching up on a lot of highlights on youtube.

Still pales in comparison to my interest in MMA. But you know a special fighter when you see one, and I have as much interest in seeing Inoue / Usyk / Crawford as I do seeing any MMA fight.
