Let me start by saying that I think Jones will beat OSP and he will probably do it easily too.
But I think the fight carries a little suspense because of how OSP matches up physically with Jones.
OSP is only an inch shorter than Jon and has the second longest reach in the division.
Skillwise Jones is significantly ahead of OSP; we're talking miles ahead.
But there's one thing Jon likes to do: fight according to his size. In other words, his fighting style is built around the fact that he is tall and has the longest reach in the division. The typical Jones' fight consists of him hitting his opponents with long shots and keeping them at bay.
If Jones fights OSP that way, I think things can get interesting. OSP is tall and long enough to strike and counter with Jones at range and OSP can confidently exchange with Jones seeing as Jon has never displayed KO power. If the fight stays standing, people will be surprised at how competitive OSP can make it.
Now, If Jon makes wrestling and grappling an issue, there's nothing I've seen from OSP that tells me he can hang. I think Jones can get this fight to the ground at will. If he decides to wrestle and fight on the ground, I suspect we'll see a classic Jon Jones 12-6 elbow finish.
Those 12-6 bows be legal now, yall.
