How honest are you when you do your taxes?

Well it depends on what your definition of "is" is.

I know a waitress who got audited for the EIC.

A lot of those fuckers have negative rates. It is basically welfare.

The government paying people to have kids out of wedlock

That's exactly what it is...and it pisses me off....and I hate REpublicans...but they are right about this one. they are essentially encouraging people to make shit money and not make more.

I had a client who got back 2500 last year, and only got back 1000 this year...he asked why...

I straight up told him, "because you made 12,000 more this year. It's almost as if the Fed Government encourages you to make 20,000 with this EIC."

What pisses me off is when these guys know how to fu*k the system...you can only use 3 children for the EIC, so they only claim 3 of their 6 kids...and let their grand parents or brothers/sisters claim the rest.

This guy only had 934 with holding and ended up getting back 7000. DO you know what his response was?

"That's it?"

I seriously wanted to tell this guy to fuck off.

You can put in some BS charitable deductions if you want a bit extra back. I personally don't do it because it makes me feel a bit sleazy.
I know a guy like that. Always writes off donations to church etc. Fucker likely hasn't seen the inside of a church in 25 years. And he certainly isn't giving them any money.
I do see a lot of "donations" to "Good will." OFten clients dont' have the receipts, but I tell them..."its not what you can prove to me, it's what you prove to the IRS."

We do this every year, but we actually get a slip. I think the max we were allowed to claim was $200-300 or something along those lines. We donate way more than that throughout the year but just get a slip for whatever can be claimed. I don't know how people can claim shit fraudulently. I'm a worrier anyway. I'd be a nervous fucking wreck for however many years they can go back on your shit.

Do you have any sort of legal responsibility to report theses people to the IRS?

I hear you man.

Why get married when you get a couple of grand nit to?

Oh yeah and your kids get free insurance with CHIP so no need to claim them on your insurance

Yup, they usually give you a slip...

regarding non cash contributions, you can claim up to 500, anything over that and you will have to describe and itemize these contributions.

Regarding Cash Contributions there usually has to be a paper trail...you can risk bull shitting it...but if the IRS asks for proof...you better be able to provide it...

and they will laugh at Excel Spread sheets...they want something a lot more substantial then that.

If it is straight up fraud they can go back forever.

I think you can do 5k cash contributions before they require receipts.

ya know........thats just what I hear........

We have to meet "due dilegence" requirements.

I have to screen them, and tell them of potential penalties and ask appropriate questions. "Do you receive any public assistance? Or any other finanaical help from friends or family? Who cares for your children when you are at work?"

and if I smell bull shit, I can refuse to do their return. What's a shame is that some peopel really deserve a helping hand, or a "break."

I've had a few clients like that who were almost in tears because they didn't realize they were getting back such a large refund...and these were usually single parents, who just been going through hard times...

but the majority of EIC clients are baby factories...they don't give a fu*k about getting married, or improving their lives. THis is just one big hand out.

I had one client donate 23,000 dollars to his church and other charitable organizations...

he had proof and receipts. The IRS audited him and called bull$hit. When he told me how much he donated, I called bull $hit too.

He however, was telling the truth and was able to prove all of his donations.

That shit is frustrating. My Dad has guys that work for him that get back way more than they put in every year. They will get 6-7k back and of course have it spent in 2 weeks. One dumb ass went to the pet store one year and bought 2 chihuahuas thinking he was going to start breeding them and selling puppies for $750 a piece since he was dumb enough to pay that much for his. There are a couple guys at the shop that love these idiots because they inevitably end up buying guns and other shit that they don't need, then have to turn around and sell them for 20% of what they paid 3 months later when they are broke. One guy that worked there about 25 years ago actually got divorced from his wife of 15 years because they did better on their taxes that way. Life went on the same, they were just officially divorced.

The fucking baby factories are the ones that piss me off. When my wife and I were first married, we lived in a big complex of town houses and of the 70-80 units, I would guess there were less than 20 that had 2 full time working occupants. The girl next door to us paid $65 a month for rent for an identical unit that we payed $650 for. Perhaps we should have skipped college and just stayed home and fucked. She had a 3 BR townhouse with cable, a phone and utilities for about $100 a month and her only occupation was popping out kids. We both had a mountain of student loan debt and full time jobs so we could pay for our shit and hers.

Do you just do individuals?
