How good is Sean Strickland trash talking?

He's alright. A bit cringey and try hard with all the "to the fuckin' death!" stuff considering most of his fights look like hard sparring instead of a real fight.

His trash talking of the slimeball Canadian press was top tier.

If prime Conor is a 10, Bisping and Chael are both 9s.

Strickland is a solid 7.

I can't find it right now, but I'm pretty sure he said something to the extend of how bad of a fighter she has to be if she can't even dodge a car. That's not exactly factual, IMO. Hope I'm not mixing it up with something Colby said though.

This, I voted 9 too. Sean was talking about the matrix in one of his interviews of late and when he destroyed that reporter the other day, I was pissing my sides!

Sean’s shit talk has hopped up a rung on the ladder for sure, I’ll always watch his fights! I mean, he’s battered some good fighters coming up for his chance at the belt. Then he decimated Izzy!

I feel like he should’ve got the nod in the Cannonier fight and he should have been smarter when fighting against Alex Pereira…man’s got balls to fight a Glory champion on the feet or maybe it was just pure stupidity, as we saw what happened hahahaha.

Either way, man became champion and bested a dominant champ in doing so! I’m a fan.

I also like DDP for different reasons. I’ve never been so divided as to who I want to win. I just hope for an excellent fight!

Then DDP absolutely exposed him.

He's now a bit of a joke due to the glaring hypocrisy of being able to dish it out, but not take it.

I don't think that is completely lost on Sean. The way Sean talks and makes jokes about his situation did make it seem like he was exaggerating a bit to play the character but watching him break down and struggle talking to Theo Von made it clear to me that his trauma is more real than I thought and runs deep.

It made me realize that when Sean talks about people not understanding the violent thoughts and impulses he has, it is not a joke at all. I think DDP also realized it was more serious than he thought and has backed off because he is not that kind of person.

How do you measure it? By how well you like what he's saying, personally? Cause you trash talk to promote a fight and he's selling out arenas now and going viral. So he's doing a great job. Prime Chael I still think is the best - within the context of how famous the sport was back then. And then I'd put Conor. I really liked Bisping and Rampage as well, but they didn't sell as well. Khabib had great moments, but he only ever sold 3 PPVs well.

Colby is still ahead of Sean, if you check google trends. And Adesanya is above both Colby and Sean. Ronda's highs are higher than even Conor's. Which is crazy. She talked mad shit.


As far as personal taste - Chael is the best and Rampage 2nd. Sean's up there, though, my current favorite. Ronda was fun before she hit the whole beating Cane under the right circumstances ego iceberg. Colby is a weird case cause I enjoy the chaos (pun intended), the pearl clutching reactions and endless drama pages online he causes, but the words and personality on their own I'm not that interested in. Meanwhile, I can watch any interview with Sean and, man, prime Chael was phenomenal.
