How good is Colby's wrestling?

Is it the best in the division? Better than old school koscheck or gsp? How good is this guys wrestling?

I think hes very good. It surprises me that he wasnt div 1 champ, i guess it looka like thats the case, and personally havent seen him a lot but if u can do what he did to maia and dong with his wrestling and shut them down you are very good in my book.

For me hes like Weidman. I dont think he was an ncaa champ either, maybe he was but dont think so, but he literally takes everyone down he fights and very good mma wrestler.

I know people hate colby but i like the guy in spite of his trashtalking unlike Sonnen who i hold in lowest regard possible.

Colby is a great fighter and i believe he will beat RDA and Woodley.

His wrestling is good against the Kim's, Barberena's, Griffin's, Gomes's, no way near a GSP, Woodley, or even a Koscheck and we all know what TWood did to Josh. Credit given for getting past the still dangerous Maia, some credit taken away for not putting away the 40yr old gassed out Maia not even with that good wrestling.

Better than RDA’s which is what is important right now. I’d say it’s between him and Usman for best in the division... but you can’t forget Woodley (who id say is just as good if not better than any WW; he just never needs to use it)

I believe he finished as high as 4th in the nation, so he's basically at a very similar level to a national champ.

People tend to put way too much stock into the official titles, such as when Cain fought Brock and many noted that Brock was a D1 champ while Cain wasn't, however Cain also finished as high as 4th in a completely different year with a completely different crop of wrestlers, so the direct comparison is a bit absurd.

Bottom line is Colby is elite D1 level.

PS - Weidman also placed pretty darn high.

The guy is damn good and I'm not a fan. I can't name many other guys who can keep his pace and chain takedowns as effectively as he does in the ufc

Idk about the division, he has great takedowns and takedown defense, but he lay and prays if it ever hits the floor. He is a fanfastic wrestler, but is pretty mediocre in his striking and subs.

Colby would outwrestle Khabib easy. Khabib never fought ANYONE close to a wrestler like Colby, not to mention Colby would be a bigger taller stronger dude, unlike how things usually are probably at lightweight division.

I believe Colby when he says that he would put balls on Khabib's face or something like that I think or am I imagining things that's not said if they were to fight against each other.

I don't really think Khabib is as good as people make him out to be, especially in light of how the last fight went. I don't think it was as bad as some people try to spin it, but still.
