Thats under the remit of RUSADA
They having kind of a rough time at the moment though.
I don't believe the USADA has ever had a problem with that most likely because they hire people who understand where to place an X on a form. But sometimes they get stopped because of lack of valid identification
bahah rough time is understating it. didnt all track and field athletes from russia get banned from the next olympics?
Following allegations made by German broadcaster ARD in 2014, WADA commissioned a report into doping and associated corruption in Russian athletics. The report, published in November 2015, was highly critical of RUSADA and the All-Russia Athletic Federation (ARAF), as well as singling out several individuals for doping offences. It concluded that RUSADA was under improper influence from the Russian Ministry of Sport. They further alleged that the agency and its employees athletes gave advance notice of tests to athletes and “routinely” took bribes to cover up doping.[7][8]
On 18 November 2015 WADA suspended RUSADA, meaning that Russia does not have a functioning NADO for any sport.
@dimspace will have concrete answers, but as I understand it, they cooperate with the country's local sports testing agency to coordinate sample collection. If there isn't one local, they send someone.
Also, you can't hide in the mountains. USADA has to know your whereabouts at all times basically, and if you're not where you say you are, you get warned. I think more than once or twice is a pretty stiff penalty.
good topic, i was also wondering if there were loopholes...Do they actually fly someone over to randomly test that athlete?
@dimspace it seems you are an authority on the subject.[
