Will more or less people purchase this fight because Holloway is fighting instead of Ferguson?

Can Dana salvage any media hype given that he now only has 5 days to promote a brand new fight?

Would it be a wise strategy to push Joanna v. Rose II to the main event?

Would it make sense for Dana to start hinting at Conor’s return this week? in hopes to make this card interesting for the casual fan that may be turned off by the new matchup?

What do you guys think?

none. everyone is buying it for the wmma

Card should do roughly the same PPV numbers thati would have done with Tony. Both have nearly the same number of followers on IG (Max has about 60k more).

Joanna used to be placed on Ultimate Fight Night cards; why would they have her headline lol.

Maybe 50k buys. The casual fan thinks they’re the same person anyway

I think it will sell about 50k less than it would have with Tony. Personally, I'm not sure if I'll buy it, with Tony/Khabib I was definitely buying.

Max is a much bigger draw then Tony.. hence being stripped.

I didn't think either of them were a huge draw, I was basing my opinion off of Tony/Khabib being so highly anticipated. Not that I doubt you, but do you have numbers do back up Max being a bigger draw than Tony? Idk what Holloway/Pettis or Aldo did as opposed to Ferguson/Lee

Huge and me saying much bigger are vastly dif.. I grasped what you meant before I replied. I'm sure you can Google the numbers.

The numbers reported for PPV buys are
Ferguson vs Lee 200k
Holloway vs aldo 2 230k
Holloway vs Aldo 1 200k
Holloway vs pettis.150k

So I don’t think someone can say Holloway is a much bigger draw no one casual really knows the dude

So based off those numbers, Tony's interim title fight brought in 50k more than Holloway's interim title fight. With a title on the line Max did 50k and 80k more than his interim fight vs. Pettis, but were still even or barely above Tony's last fight.
@agibmxmma based on these numbers I'd say there is a negligible difference in drawing power, and it seems like Tony actually has the slightly better numbers than Max. This obviously isn't bringing the rest of the main card into consideration
