How does Dollaway win after losing mount 2x in R3?

Getting mount puts you in a more aggressive and advantageous position. Getting out from under mount makes you no more offensive on its own.


Defense =/= effective offense... which is what wins you fights.

Getting a takedown into a dominant position is, and always should be valued higher than reversing mount into your opponents guard.

Unless you get a takedown into someone's guard. Never understood why people pretend being in a persons guard is any less dangerous (more safe)... you can't assume the opponent doesn't want you there.

They rule the top position as the dominate one since it's MMA and not BJJ. There was a time where Tito would wreck people from the guard position and Rampage WTFKO'd Arona from the guard while he thought he was slick tryin to set up the triangle. So while dangerous, it doesn't mean you're out of danger either.
