How do you think the fight would have ended without the mouthpiece incident?

My guess would be 49-46 or 50-45 Bisping.

A lot less bloody, still the same decision.

AS had all the chances in the world to end this fight, and yet he didn't. So I would agree that it would've been a decision, I think it would've been a split decision in favour of Silva.

same result except a less suspenseful decision imo

What?what?

How does that work...

it was allready a UD for bisping with him losing the round, how do you...? what? huh?

That knee changed the momentum of the fight, and impaired Bisping, both in leaving him woozy, as well as him having blood impairing his vision.

That knee doesn't land, and he would have won by a wider margin.

How would it have gone more in Silva's favour if the mouthpiece incident hadn't happened?

They're two assumptions.
1) is that that knee actually fired up Silva's creativity and provided the spark for his offens ein the later rounds which means without it we see 50-45 Bisping
2) it was inconsequential to the rest of Silva's action, which I tend to believe due to how lackadaisically he approached 23 of the 25 minutes of that contest, 49-46 Bisping

there's a reason bisping was begging for a pause in action. he was against the cage gettin stalked. cant imagine a more perfect single strike than that was, so in all likelihood if bisping didnt try to weasle his way out of there and continued to defend himself, he probably would have took some shots but not nearly as bad as that knee.

dont remember the rest of that round that clearly so hard to say if i would give him the round without getting dropped, but i likely would have. either way, that was 100% bispings doing. and anderson not following up was 100% his doing. herb dean is the only one who didnt fuck up.

it was looking like it was going to be a Bisping finish

too bad he had that brain fart and let Anderson nearly finish him

Not really a fan of either of them and I had it for Bisping. Every round but the 10-8 round for Silva (deus ex knee).

Bisping had an excellent chance of ending that fight , he had already rocked Anderson twice .

The same but with people arguing about if Anderson won 1 round or 2. And a couple die hard's arguing that Anderson still won / only lost because he was "clowning".

How was that a 10-8 round? Silva was losing the round up until that point. The knee is the only reason Silva got that round.

Well, generally when you get KO'd it's a 10-8 round. At least in my mind. I agree it was super weird.

Bisping would have won 4 rounds to 1
