Does anybody think Gastelum is going to surprise Souza with his hands?? There´s a chance that happens, the man hits hard.

I thought Gastelum was a little too cautious for the entire 1st round against Weidman until he went for the kill in the final seconds. Had he done that earlier, he could´ve got the finish.

I believe Souza is gonna try to finish the fight quickly via submission, so the sooner the better for him, because of the sweat. He´s gonna make Gastelum walk backwards using kicks and use the fence to get a clinch and then a takedown. He's too strong for Kelvin on the clinch, he´s just gonna outmuscle him and take him down. Once on the ground, I think he finishes Kelvin. Probably a kimura like in the Boetsch fight.

How do you guys see this fight going?

I don't know. I like both of these guys and hate to see either of them lose. Gastelum may prove to be too much for Jacare at this stage.

Kelvin's hands should be no surprise to anyone at this point. That being said, elite grapplers at MW could be what holds him from reaching the top as seen with the Weidman fight. However I also wouldn't be surprised if he beats Jacare in the same fashion Whittaker did.

Slightly leaning toward Jacare by decision all in all.

Hoping Jacare has one last title run left in him.

Weidman schooled him 98% of the fight. I hope Jacare can do the same and get the finish via sub and get his deserved TS.

Something like this.....

Funny enough who I'm rooting for depends on Whittaker/Romero 2, if Whittaker win I really really want Kelvin to win so Robert carrier isn't all rematches, if Yoel wins I'd be more excited for him Jacare 2.

Gastelum tee'd off on Weedman. If it wasn't for Chris's chin he would've been a goner. I don't think Jacare will be able to take the same damage before getting him to the ground

I think Kelvin is better at this point. I wouldn't bet more than $10 on it in a parlay though. You never fuckin know.

Its not a team sport its an individual sport and theres not 15 other ppl to pick up the slack. You never know what this one individual is going through or the mindset.

Hardest sport to predict.

this is the toughest stylistic matchup for Kelvin out of the top 5 imo

on the other hand a win for him puts him on the highest level

TBH I think it'll go like Brunson exactly. Jacare will be tentative and weather the storm somewhat in the beginning and then I can see him winning by tko or sub in like the 3rd

i want Jacare to win but whenever I pick against Kelvin he ends up KOing the guy

There are some similarities between Whitaker and Gastelum, both good power and hand speed and both are quick. Although, I don't think Gastelum has the tdd and grappling to overcome Jacare. I think Jacare will get the fight down and then use his size and grappling to get the submission.

I know, Kelvin is really good at that, but Souza knows it too. And Mousasi is excellent at 1-2s but...
