This is an interesting matchup. Fedor obviously isn't in his prime anymore otherwise it would have an easy Fedor victory. However, Fedor's been out of his prime for nearly a decade. Fedor still has hand speed and power but Chael has very good wrestling and also has good cardio like Fedor. Both are very durable. I see this fight either being a TKO victory for Fedor or a UD for Sonnen. I think Fedor could still rock, hurt, and finish Sonnen early though. Admittedly, Chael isn't in his prime either. They both could be close in weight too. I could also see an armbar victory for Fedor if Chael gets on top.

Fedor is the GOAT, and he won, but he didnt' look good if you ask me.

The question becomes, can Chael take down Fedor for three rounds and stay active on top for 15 minutes?

I don't think so, but I didn't think Chael Sonnen in million years will beat Wanderlei or Shogun

Sonnen was born a year later than Fedor, so a younger by like half a year, and wrestlers tend to get less effected by aging or more slowly, if you look at guys like Randy and Hendo, who coached Sonnen in his career.

I think Fedor's chin is totally shot as well, so I don't know.

I too think his chin's been gone for awhile. It was the start of his downfall.

I am hoping for a Fedor KO but my fear is a UD for Chael. Fedor needs to hurt Chael fast and gain his respect, and from there pressure and finish him.

I know this is crazy thing to say, but I think Sonnen can hurt Fedor. Like this is quite insane thing to say, but Fedor's chin doesn't seem to be there at all.

It's a good matchup for Fedor. Chael has pretty weak hands so the risk of Fedor getting knocked out goes down. Fedor also has size advantage and I don't think Chael can control him on the ground. My bet would be Fedor by TKO or submission.

- Chael goes in for a take down.

- Fedor does some judo toss thing and puts chael on the ground.

- Fedor smashes Chael on the ground for a tko win.

Chael almost got knocked out by that AIDS looking Wandy. One looping hook from Fedor and it's over.

Only way Fedor loses is a bad chin.

Chael’s entire career has been made on the fact that he’s a good grappler who has good ground control. If he fights a guy whose primary base is not grappling, he’s tough to beat because his chin is good, he wades in, he clinches, he takes it to the ground, and he wins by control.

When he fights strong grapplers, his record is not great. I know Fedor has lost some chin. But grappling skills age much slower for most guys.

Fedor can KO Chael. Fedor can definitely submit Chael. Fedor can definitely put Chael on his back (where Chael stinks).

This is the first fight in a while where I would bet money on Fedor. Only way it goes bad for him is if he gets clipped and the chin can’t hold a normal punch. Look for Chael to come in bigger than Fedor and juiced or hormoned up.

I don't see chael handling Fedors power, and Fedor is pretty good at Sambo, so I don't see chael getting takedowns at will. I think the size, and grappling skill of Fedor will be to much, and Fedor will either KO him standing or in gnp.

I'm thinking Chael will pull it off. Fedor's chin looked suspect tonight. I think chael will land some shots and drop him tko ref stoppage.

I think Fedor's chin is so shot you have to give Sonnen some chance. Fedor got clipped three fights in a row.

Has Chael ever been Ko'd stiff? I know he's been tko'd a few times, but I don't recall him being deaded
