how do you pronounce Jedrzejczyk

In that middle gif it looks like she was targeting the left breast of her opponent. I've never even considered whether breast strikes should be legal. I know targeting mams is frowned upon in the gym. What do you guys think?

Yoanna Yedreyzhik Polish J = Y, remember and cz = s/zh.

Jed rye check.

Worked with one in my last job.

I'm not so sure about that

the video says 'tric' for the end of her name

while, being eastern european myself, it should be more of 'zvic'

please correct me if I am wrong

You're wrong.

The end of her name is actually easiest of all.

"Chick" is really close enough, only 'y' should be like in 'martyr' instead, rare sound in English.

Dunno where from EE you are, but absolutely no 'zvic' here.

"zvic" would be more southern/eastern Europe (i.e. former Yugoslav areas) I think.

I see so many different ways to pronounce it in this thread...it seems like some are commenting based on the Anglicized version, as most Polish-Americans would use, and some are commenting on the proper Polish pronunciation, as the Polish would use.

For example, it is certainly not "Jed-dried-chick" because the Polish J is a Y sound.

Dammit, I wish I had more connection to my Polish cultural heritage :( That's the cool side of my family, too (well, one of them...the side that's descended from Cochise's Apache band is pretty cool, too).
