I'm gonna need these fighters to act like men if they want me to sit on the couch and watch them.
They say there's no crying in baseball but there's definitely crying in MMA. From the athletes, to the media, to the fans... We shed tears and weep being apart of this crazy sport. It's almost ironic in a sense. I watch MMA because I want to prove to others I'm more masculine than them. It's a brutal sport so the juxtaposition of two individuals fighting to a person weeping is fascinating to me.
Fighters cry due to the happiness of victory, the demoralization of defeat, I cry because of what my life has become (that's another story) but there are numerous reasons why MMA causes crying. Here are some memorable crying moments.
Ariel Helwani - This might be my favorite crying moment of all-time. Ariel Helwani threw a pity party for himself and literally cried on his show for an hour because Dana White got mad at him for leaking Brock Lesnar's return. Come on Ariel, your kids are gonna see that. This moment is hard to forget since Ariel acts like a pro-wrestler on his show and refers to himself as "Heel-wani” now.

Jon Jones - He might be the GOAT fighter but he isn't immune to the tears. He cried at a press conference after he was pulled from the rematch with DC due to being busted for PED's. No other fighter has had to endure what Jones has outside of the cage. Some of it was his fault but some of it was due to different circumstances and timing.

Joe Rogan - On one of his podcasts, Rogan cried talking about Ronda Rousey and how amazing he thought she was. Man was in full white knight mode and hyping Ronda up. He was also the main culprit in getting people to believe Rousey would beat Floyd Mayweather in a fight.

Daniel Cormier - Who could forget DC crying after getting head kicked in oblivion by Jon Jones. I actually felt extremely bad for DC. He was concussed, suffering from the worst defeat of his career, got yelled at by Dana, then had Rogan shove a microphone in his face. This may have been the moment they stopped interviewing KO'd fighters.

Andy Wang - Saddest TUF moment for me. Man was crying tears from the heart but was mocked by BJ Penn. Andy Wang... That guy's a warrior.

Jose Aldo - He has shed tears due to happiness and sadness in the cage. Seeing him cry after losing to McGregor was rough but seeing him cry due to happiness after beating Jeremy Stephans is a great MMA feel good moment.

My fellow Sherbros. Crying is natural and we should embrace it. What are your thoughts on crying in MMA, lets hear some of your favorites...
But what is Gus holding?Pretty sure it's Gustafsson and the blonde is his gf/wife

I think the only MMA fighter whose crying has ever earned negative reactions from me is Rose Namajunas. One might think that she should get a pass for being a woman, but she has even described herself as being a "crybaby", and is known for weeping regularly at training sessions and before fights, and not just at life-changing wins or losses (which is more understandable).

They were probably together at several different "points".She loved Big Nog, and I don't doubt they were together at one point.

It didn't stop me from being a fan of her fighting skills, but it seems to me to be a very unhealthy mindset to be putting oneself through so much emotional anguish on a regular basis. So why did it earn a negative reaction from you? Why would you care if she cries before, during and after training?
LOL as long as there's no talk about religion, I don't mind an overflow of emotions from a person after a fight.
