He could probably get in RIGHT NOW if he accepted an offer and didn't demand to be a million dollar earner in his first fight and only taking superfights and title fights. He went prima donna before prima donna was cool and honestly, his bellator wins weren't that impressive. I would rather him go to Bellator, prove he can beat Pitpull and Bendo, then there's a strong case. Otherwise, he squandered his time and is too old and would get mauled alive by the younger bucks in the division.

Ben just needs to convince the UFC that he will get enough casuals to watch him fight, and his fight style isn’t going to do that. Those of us that already appreciate grappling want to see him in the UFC, but the UFC already has us as fans.

He should look to Chael as a role model, who has a similar fight style, but has the type of self-promotion skills that Ben needs. He needs to generate a feud with a UFC fighter that gets enough attention to get him a contract. Maybe he publicly stalks Colby, who enough people hate to want to see him lose. Maybe his buddy Tyron helps him in some kind of WWE-style scam. It’s easier said than done, but it’s not that hard to get something to go viral these days.
