Immigration is a misnomer. Since Europeans weren't trying to be a part of Native's society but to establish theirs on their land. I'm not excusing the raping, thieving, etc, that was par for the course during those brutal times. Natives got out-competed for resources and their land, Europeans won out and established their society.

The conquering wasn't "righteous" but it was definitely conquering.

most natives in both north and south america died from a smallpox plague. if 50% of the US population died, including the military, to a plague, we'd be pretty easy to mop up as well.
