How did grumpy Harrison Ford get to the status he has today?

I always felt the movies were bigger than Harrison Ford, wheras most stars it's the exact opposite, they make the movies. This includes Blade Runner.

So having said that, what is it about him that was so enduring. He's not likeable. Charm?... Acting is solid but you arent blown away...

Did he just have good connections in the industry once he made it and then they just hired him? Or is he truly beloved by the public for whatever reason?
Man WHAT THE FUCK EVER

"I dont GET Harrison Ford"

Sucks to be YOU

The only movies where he's not completely replaceable are the star wars movies.

I can't imagine anyone else as Han.

But a bunch of people would've been better in bladerunner, and I know I'm in the minority but I actually think their first choice, Tom Selleck, would've been a better Indiana Jones.

Alec Baldwin was a better Jack Ryan.

Liam Neeson would've been better in the fugitive.

Air Force One and what lies beneath both sucked so they don't matter. And anyone with a pulse would've been a better red hulk.

Yeah he gats a bit grumpy

He's not all grumpy. He's only half grumpy at best

Fuckin hipsters turnin against Harrison.

This is how soft everyone has become.

My goodness.

Ford reminds me a bit of an uncle of mine. He can be an enjoyable entertaining low key guy to be around most of the time. When he gets to preaching about politics though, it is time to leave the room, or change the channel.

Only film I remember of him is the 90s film Sabrina where he has an earring.

That’s because he has an earring in real life. But are your serious?

The Fugitive
Air Force One
Presumed Innocent
Patriot Games
Clear and Present Danger

Fuck off.

Blade Runner is perfect.

Stop trying to change it you pussy assed hipster bitches
My man. Harrison was the perfect movie star for 30+ years. He's an everyman, but was also absolutely magnetic on screen in his prime. He was believable in all of his role and part of that was because he had actually lived a life outside the entertainmment industry. He didn't have to method act to behave like a manly dude or a guy in a regular job because he had walked that path irl.

I don't really pay attention to him now. Is he grumpy in the sort of sarcastic witty type playing a grumpy person character? Or is he really grumpy acting like a dick?
