How crazy is it Conor has become the face for the MMA purists?

All the MMA purists on this board despised Conor because he represented everything that they thought was wrong with the sport. A brash shit talker that would relentlessly taunt his opponents and fellow fighters at press conference and interviews. The purists all said that they hated the trash talk and they just wanted to see people that shut up and fight.

Now as we approach what was supposed to be the biggest event in the history of the sport, the man that the purists hated just wants to shut up, train and show up to fight. What do you say sherdoggers? Have you changed your opinion of Conor now that all he wants to do his fight instead of talk?

He doesnt want to talk because he doesnt have shit to say this time. He can;t play the king anymore and he's too in love with himself to play any other role. Yeah my opinions changed, I used to respect him as a fighter and a businessman.

He always seemed to have the work ethic, so the trash talking never bothered me all that much. I have a lot of respect for the humble guys that do their talking in the cage. I don't think we'll ever actually see that demeanor from Conor. He's still yapping on social media today.

I would argue that someone who did not see the positives of Conor's antics, his philosophies on combat techniques, as well as his performances in the cage, isn't an MMA purist. For whatever that meaningless title is worth.
