How Come UFC Fighters Are Not Good Enough To Carry A Fight?

Floyd Mayweather carried Conor McGregor all the way to the 10th round, and gave the fans the fight they wanted to see, just like he promised in all his pre-fight interviews (nobody believed him).

Compare this Mickey Gall versus CM Punk. Mickey Gall panics, and submits a dude who had zero experience inside the Octagon. LOL

Also, when we talk about Mayweather vs McGregor, inside the Octagon, suddenly Conor, the "most accurate, precise and powerful striker" in "real fighting," has to panic wrestle to beat a rookie with zero fights inside the Octagon.

Why can't Conor McGregor stand and bang, and carry Mayweather to at least Round 3, and give the fans their money's worth?

If you can't carry a rookie, you are not that good. Real GOATs are able to carry rookies, and make the contest more interesting.

Conor can pull guard and stay at the bottom for 5 rounds and win if he wanted to.
 
Because it’s mma.

One punch/kick, or whatever can end that fight.

Carrying an opponent in mma, is a recipe for disaster.

Because when you have to worry about punches, kicks, elbows, knees, takedowns and submissions while wearing 4oz gloves there's no room for carrying an opponent.

That's the same reason there's no such thing as tune up fights in MMA too.
 
One of the things most people like about the sport is that one move, one mistake and it could be over. "Carrying" an opponent like you want to see risks becoming the subject of our next Ridiculous Upsets thread. Or at best, those "OMG why couldn't he finish him he SUX" posts.

Unless you're proposing collusion? Then I suggest Wrestlemania is more your speed.

No. He can't stand and bang with Floyd. He has to panic wrestle and try to end the fight like Couture vs Toney, or else, he is going to end up like Mercer vs Sylvia.

Chad Mendes was lighting Conor up something vicious. It wasn't even competitive, until Mendes gassed. LOL

Hey psychiatrist, just so you know, anyone who thinks willpower is required to avoid a thread online has deep-rooted issues with weakness and a guaranteed issue with social acceptance.
