How close are we to a cloned army/police force for the world?

I think you will see robotics before you will see cloned soldiers. One thing the clone still has to grow up, the toddlers are not much of a benefit. You will basically have a slave population what will have be housed and fed even when they are not yet able to fight. Many people will eventually start fighting for clone rights.

This will be expensive and the investment results are in the future and has too many risks.
 
what would be the point in cloning soldiers the way that these dogs are cloned? theyd just be people, like any other people.

I think they would clone only the the best genetically for the tasks they would do. Pilots would likely not weight as much as most soldiers and would be downstream genetically from someone who could visualize three dimensions with vectors and such. I still think this would not work. They would be people but selected for birth for certain traits. Still a bad idea.
 
I imagine their would be human rights issues that would prevent the use of clones strictly for military usage.
 
The cloned police force better be smoking hawt then. I want cloned cops that look like Rachel Nichols, Tallulah Riley, Katrina Law etc, etc.

This seems like good news. At least we can throw wave after wave of clone fodder at skynet when it becomes aware.
