Mike and Joe's commentating style's both compliment each others and both represent the fans

you have one guy explaining the technical aspects of fighting for the hardcore fans and you have the guy who represents the new fan who doesn't know shit and plays dumb the entire time occasionally showing that he learned something new about MMA.

He probably actually knows more than most of us, but his job isn't to break things down and tell us what's really happening, that's Rogan's job. He messes up every now and then but that guy has to work harder than most think. He has to find out a bunch of shit about unknown fighters, tell their story pretty much and highlights of their career and he has to do this basically every single event. He has to do a lot of research on things, unlike Joe who just has to tell us what's happening during the fight.
