Wear a mask when sanding, odds are it's lead based paint.
Make sure to pick up a heat resistant paint as well, the water in a radiator should be 180 degrees fahrenheit.

yeah but this way is cheaperGet a new one, that is a factory finish, it would take hours of work and know how to make It look really good....just swap it out for a Chrome or SS finish..

Buy a new one you tight arse.Had this towel rail in the outhouse for a bit with something leaning against it and it got rusty.
nothing deep rooted, just superficial rust.
I fitted it and it works fine, so now I need to clean it up.
Any ideas how I can get this looking better?
