Wear a mask when sanding, odds are it's lead based paint.
Make sure to pick up a heat resistant paint as well, the water in a radiator should be 180 degrees fahrenheit.
you guys really are helpful, thanks

Get a new one, that is a factory finish, it would take hours of work and know how to make It look really good....just swap it out for a Chrome or SS finish..

I took a close look at the fittings, that thing is just about ready to leak..

I noticed that myself when I put the photo up, will have a closer look tonight

Rub with a pad and then use rust reformer. Will be black though.

I did think about white vinegar myself, that was going to be my first choice
Might not be as effective as some other options, but probably be cheaper, and has to be better to breath in i'd imagine.

I think WD is better than vinegar. Just a hunch seems like I heard that somewhere. Like vinegar can cause even more rust? If not done properly? If it’s applied for too long?

Had this towel rail in the outhouse for a bit with something leaning against it and it got rusty.

nothing deep rooted, just superficial rust.

I fitted it and it works fine, so now I need to clean it up.

Any ideas how I can get this looking better?

Sherdog first then Google init
