How can a 38 years old 280lbs former retired fighter be that explosive?

38 years old, 280lbs and didn't fought for almost 6 years. He was as fast as a featherweight when he was ground&pounding Hunt, even Fedor in his prime was not that fast&explosive. I don't like him BUT brock Lesnar is a freak! and Just imagine if Lesnar would have chosen MMA instead of WWE when he was 21.

Because he's 280lbs!!!

Quite simply because he is Brock Lesnar. Normal rules of humanity and science seem not to apply to him. He is the beast incarnate.

No doubt that if Lesnar had dedicated his life to MMA that he'd be in the GOAT conversation.

His natural talents are fucking rare as hell, and his basic wrestling skill set is pretty good as it is--as a part-timer.

If he had time to really develop a decent striking game, I don't see many people in the HW division who could even compete with him, let alone beat him.

He's a rare breed. Guys like him don't come along very often.

He's either a freak athlete in the literal sense. Brock Lesnar is a real ONCE EVER athlete, 100%.

Unless... he's on the juice. I can sit here and question if they actually tested any of those samples taken. I mean look at Lesnar, he took 5 years off from MMA... he's in his late thirties and he looked in the best shape I've ever seen him.

So you have two options. He's a once in a lifetime athlete or he's a cheat. You can decide that.

lol, that GNP was no where near explosive....rabbit punches explosive? lol

I will agree that his takedown was explosive...he covered a lot of ground to get to hunt and put him down numerous times. That is the best part of his game...everything else sucks imo and only works due to his size.

Brock enters MMA at age 22 training full time, never going to WWE

Uh holy fucking shit..

The fact he was fighting a fat, plodding 45 year-old who threw about 5 punches a round also played a big part in him looking good.

He said no to drugs and trained well.

Well, he could be both, really. You can juice all you want and not be like Brock.
He always trains, to answer TS, and being on the weights will help explosiveness more than the grind of fight training, but fight training is technique and cardio - which is where Brock is still weak.
Also, 38 isnt THAT old. Most guys just have made money, taken damage, and care more about their lives outside their sports by then. Brock likes to train.

He looked alot stiffer than he used to be,but he was able to get the job done,so long as he can get you to the cage.

Cause he trains WWE , it's the next big style for mma. We will call this era of mma the ATTITUDE ERA

It would have been like TRTor. Truly before his time and before we were ready for him. Young dedicated Brock would have been too much GOATness.
