Knowing that both Lesnar and Punk are in the UFC and winning. Would that upset you?

I'd be surprised for one and give him a healthy congrats as he has taken on the difficult task of becoming an MMA fighter at an advanced age

>getting angry at UFC fights

lmao

I think this fight is a bit different because based on Mickey Gall's record, he looks like he should still be working the local show circuit. He could very well be a jobber and this one reeks of spectacle rather than sport.

Brock, OTOH, is a reasonably high level heavyweight and fights other reasonably high level heavyweights, therefore his presence on a card is justified.

Why the fuck would it upset anyone? If you are good enough to win a fight on the highest level then you earn legitimacy.

Do people get angry when someone wins in MMA? I've never, ever gotten angry that someone I didn't root for wins. I have real problems to get angry about from time to time, I don't need to put that energy into something I enjoy.

Would find it hilarious if he comes in and smashes Gall. Though, I still doubt the fight will even take place.

It wouldn't bother me at all. I have my favorites like anyone else, but I don't get upset at fight outcomes. As a fan of mma and the martial arts I like seeing guys fight at a high level and displaying skills that most of us don't have. I really only get upset if someone gets legitimately hurt, or we see a Dada vs kimbo situation where you have two guys that physically should not be in there.

Punk will probably lose. If he wins I hope it's because he surprises people and actually shows a lot of skill out there. Do I respect him though? Yes I do. It takes balls to leave a job paying you millions of dollars, where you are one of the top stars in that industry, and you leave all of that to risk getting humiliated by a virtual unknown...at nearly 40 years of age. If Gall wins then the same thing applies. I hope it's because he is the more skilled fighter.

I wouldn't be angry at all. But a CM punk victory is not at all like a Lesnar victory.

Let me explain: I respect Lesnar, his skill set, his his athleticism, and his victories. He's beaten legitimate top ten UFC HWs.

He's the real deal.

CM punk appears to not be athletic at all, he has no amateur record to speak of, and will be facing a hand picked opponent who doesn't seem to belong in the UFC to begin with.

I'll have no opinion of CM Punk if he manages to beat Micky Gall...it will mean just as much to me if he beat some other dude I've never heard of who doesn't belong in the UFC.

why would anyone care? he's been training at a top camp with great fighters and is going up against someone with a similarly low level of experience. if he came in and knocked out anderson silva someone might be annoyed but c'mon, he's fighting a guy with 3 minutes worth of pro fight experience
