Yeah, I was disappointed when I heard of the match-up and thought that Whittaker deserved a better opponent. Turned out to be good match-making that will let him time to grow, while moving up the ladder. He's my favorite non top-10 guy at 185 and I hope he'll make his way to that top.

Natal's tough to look good against and ate some big shots. Overall it was a solid performance, Whittaker just needs to practice checking leg kicks, something most MMA fighters should do.

Not directly related to the thread title, but he definitely didn't look undersized for MW this time out, if anything he looked bigger than Natal. I was also pleased with how easily he dealt with the TD attempts, as Natal somewhat surprisingly has the most TDs in MW history.
