Horrible stoppage

What are the repercussions for this? You can't just let a gey get punched and elbowed for that long without being penalised. It was a disgrace and the commentators called it a great stoppage

The commentators risk losing their jobs if they criticize the officials, the UFC absolutely hates that.

It was a terrible, terrible stoppage and Keith Peterson is a bad referee that doesn't belong in the cage.

Ref’s job is to protect the fighter when he can’t protect himself. He let a defenceless fighter get beat on for way too long before stopping it.

wait are you talking about the Hernandez or the Tsurukyan fight?? The latter was a perfectly fine stoppage. He was shrimping and moving / properly defending - watch it again. I thought it was stopped at the perfect time - right when he exhausted all his options and was just taking punishment.

Now the Hernandez slam to those elbows was one of the most brutal finishes I’ve seen in a long time and was a bad stoppage imo. gave me flashes of weidman vs Munoz… might’ve even been more brutal than that unless blood is a big factor for you. That’s the kind of ko where it wouldn’t surprise me if the guy is never the same again or still has concussive symptoms 6mo down the road. Good fight tho

stopped it about 20 punches too late

should have been stopped at GNP from back, that GNP from mount was unecessary
