College Hoops 2024-2025 Thread *** Florida National Champions ***

Oh my dear almighty God...a lane violation wipes out the tying FT for the Heels in the waning seconds........This has been a brutal bball day.

We won 24 games in 08 and and 09 and missed the NCAAT both times. 38th and 35th in KenPom.

Wow, I hear ya, but you’re including NIT results. I’m talking # of wins on Selection Sunday (at the conclusion of the conference tourney).

Florida had 21 wins after the SEC Tourney in 2008 and they had 23 wins after the SEC Tourney in 2009.

Not making it after winning 23 games in a power conference is insane, though. That’s the exact current win total of SMU, although I’d venture to say Florida’s out of conference schedule was far more difficult than SMU’s this year.

My brother just told me about this fella’s stat line on UAB. Without doubt, the GOAT stat line I have ever seen from a college hooper! 🤯

It’s a historically known fact that only QIA+ conferences play their Tournament Final game on Selection Sunday. Every normal respectable conference has their shit wrapped up by Saturday.

Nobody seems to be giving Wisconsin a shot against MSU. I know it's Izzo and it's March, but if Wisconsin hits some 3's they can hang. They lost by 9 against MSU earlier, but that was a 2-point game with 2 mins left and Wisconsin shot terribly from beyond the arc. Don't get me wrong, I think MSU wins, but Wisconsin has a solid chance.

that was brutal. Imagine if UNC is left out of the tourny now yikes. But still stupid of the UNC player, I mean its almost like he was trying to distract the shooter who was his own teammate. The ref probably should have swallowed the whistle though.

Heels aren't making the dance. It would be a legacy pick if they do, which is cool by me being a fan. I think they are a sweet 16 team with a decent draw.

Wisconsin hanging tough. Both teams not playing particularly well. The only difference I can see in the box (giggity) score is MSU had 2 more TOs which resulted in a couple more possessions for the Badgers. Tight game.

This Creighton-St John's game is fucking lit.

Edit- @Jonathan Utah St. John's has a shot at this. Solid team with a seasoned coach.

If the line comes down I’ll live bet it with you. Haven’t bet anything since Florida earlier
The Gators' defense is what will win them the championship. They have a great shot at it. +500 right now. I'm laying $100 on that. I think they win.
