Hooker is hyped up on a 3 fight win streak .. he beat 2 nobody's and gamrot.

Those 3 fights started in 2021... He's faught once per year...

Yeah Armen is inactive also but he's a top 5 level contender and everyone knows Armen can wrestle..

Everyone ducks Armen and the UFC can't book Armen hooker steps up and says take my career next .... He could've faught fiz for the title fight like everyone else ..

I would give him Max and see how he handles somebody who he can't take down and will wear him out on the feet. But ofc Max isn't available unless he's cherry picking

He just had an anti wrestling camp vs Gamrot.
Volk can help him with TDD. Also Volk is 5'6 and Arman 5'7, so apart from being too light, a good training partner.
Hooker is 6'0 maybe that helps with his horrible defense.

Also Hooker ain't smart, so he doesn't know who is a good fight for him.

Hooker won vs Gamrot, because Gamrot tired himself out with the unsuccesful takedown attempts.
I don't see Arman gassing though. His camp has the right juice.

To some extent I do believe that for the other fighters in the mix to try and get a title shot at 155 didn't like the risk/reward of taking on Arman compared to other match ups they could get in the division. I don't think he's Ilia's preferred match up and he would rather see Paddy or Justin. Not that they are literally terrified to face him.

I think Arman subs him on the ground as quick as possible so nobody takes too much damage just like Islam did against Hooker. I like Hooker and think he is tough as nails but he takes WAY too much damage, it almost gets uncomfortable to watch. Hooker is going to be amped up to the sky and I predict he makes a mistake and gives Arman something to exploit. BTW Arman has been wrestling with Khamzat for most of the year so I doubt Dan's size is going to be an issue but you never know, Dan's for sure crazy enough to never tap and land a knee that ko's Arman. (I think Islam broke Dan's arm when they fought)

Call it what you want. Other fighters have the luxury of avoiding the tough fights, Dan Hooker can't go around these guys, his only possible path to the title is to go thru them so he is stepping up and taking a fight that he is unlikely to win. (Just like he did with Islam)

That's balls. That's actual bravery. A misunderstood concept that people often conflate with the pretend absence of fear as opposed to true bravery which is to partake in risky action in spite of your natural fear.

They want nothing to do with Armen and it's retarded that you would even need to explain that to someone pretending like they don't see it written on the wall in giant neon letters.

He is tough to beat and has the least "star power" of all the available options.

Highest risk and very very unreasonably low reward as he doesn't have a belt and isn't in the companies good graces.

Armen has done himself zero favors with his inactivity & entitled attitude but the fact remains he is the Boogie man of the LW top 5 and no one wants to sign a contract with his name on it including the champ.
