Movies Hook vs Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates was good don't get me wrong...

But there are levels to this

Yeah like the Actors Robin and Hoffman being a little better than Rush and Depp . But still noticeably better.

Slight edge to pirates, hook over all the sequels though.

I saw Hook at a birthday party when I was a kid and the boo box gave me nightmares. Then I woke up the next morning and we had 3 inches of snow in Florida (this was during the east coast "Storm of the Century" in 1993).

Not a big fan of Hook to be honest. And I love Spielberg. And Williams was a great actor RIP. Great cast overall, too. Just never really resonated with me. Even as a kid. Cool concept though.

And I will say this, John Williams’ score was epic and helped make some of the scenes pretty thrilling.

Pirates by a pretty decent margin, Hook was pretty shit.

Hook will win this by childhood nostalgia (but got to admit Hoffman performance was great)

PotC was awesome, created super iconic char in Sparrow and everything was so superiore even if action could be slighty less ridicolous circus

Plus for whatever reason even as kid could'nt stand Williams even if i liked movies was in like Jumanji, Hook or Toys
