Honestly...Cain vs JDS

Come on, why did this fight get put together. Not only is Cain going to get Knocked out a second time but it's going to be a sad knock out. Two KO's in a row by the same guy is going to be damaging to Cain's self worth.

I don't feel good about his match-up. Wasn't there anyone else JDS could have fought?
 
Honestly I think Reem shoulda went to JDS and Cain v Mir woulda been nice.

But I am not to fussed it will be a good fight and IMO another title Defence to JDS although I think it will be a Tko to strikes win not a KO.
 
Who else should challenge for the belt, especially after Overeem's suspension?

And, as much as I like JDS and hate Cain, this is a tough fight to pick. I could easily see either fighter winning.

Only other person in the ufc who halfway deserved it was werdum, and even he doesn't really. Cormier isn't signed yet and overeem is suspended. Jds gets a chance to prove the first fight wasn't a fluke. It is what it is.
 
My own theory on why this fight was made so quickly was, as we know Cain fought injuried for the first fight. If it was a PPV he probably would have pulled out. Seeing how it was on Fox that wasn't possible. I'm sure dana told Cain to take the fight and if he loses he'll fight one fight than get a quick rematch. Just my speculation of what happened.
 
I love when people complain about match ups when there are no other match ups that make sense.

It's funny because most of the time these are the same people who complain when champions don't fight enough.
 
Who else? Reem got himself suspended, who had a decent streak going? Struve?

They didn't have many options. At least Cain isn't coming off a TKO loss at a lower weight class.

This. Nothing else made sense. Werdum would have been a rematch as well and he still had the Overeem fight to live down.
 
What if Cain wins? I know, utterly insane and can't happen....but what if?

Sound possible & very plausible.....I think Cain will win this time.....He wiil get JDS to the ground & pound him out!!:icon_chee

The bolded is correct, who really knows with this one, it's a flip of the coin.

I would like to see Struve and JDS fight. And as much as I hate him, Nelson deserves a rematch. He didnt get stopped by JDS the first time.

Heavyweight is shallow and there were few options for JDS. Cormier doesn't have a win in the UFC, Reem is suspended who else honestly deserves a shot?
