Is Armans win over Junior Assuncao a better win than any win by Makhachev in the UFC?


I see many aren't giving Arman a chance in this fight.
Is that because they have never heard of him before?
Is that because he is facing a Russian...... and this is Sherdog?


For me, Makhachevs wins in the UFC aren't impressive.
He beat 2 middle aged men.
He beat a bum.
He beat a Canadian.
He beat a wrestler.

He got knocked out by a BJJ coach.

"He beat a Canadian"? You do realize one of the consensus top 3 greatest of all time is a Canadian right?

To answer your question though yes, Jr is one of the biggest wins you can get in the division.

it's a high-risk low reward for Makhachev but I hope they bump him to the top 10 after this fight
just like what they did with Gregor after fighting an unranked Yancy Medeiros

Tsarukyan definitely has better pre-UFC career. But being in the UFC and keep winning makes Makhachev's overall resume better.

Nik Lentz, Chris Wade, and Kajan Johnson were much better wins than Junior. Also the way Islam beat them, Lentz is a division 1 wrestler and good grappler, Islam wrestlefucked him and outstruck him with ease. Out grappled Chris Wade who's also a great grappler. Easily took down and submitted Kajan within a minute, Kajan's TDD and grappling is pretty good, proven by how he stuffed, out grappled and beat Rustam Khabilov the next fight.

Also the guy that KOed Islam is not a BJJ coach, he has 13 KOs on his record and only 3 subs ffs lol. You must have him mistaken for the guy that knocked Kevin Lee out. That guy was an actual BJJ specialist with only one other KO and 9 submissions.
